Jim Green
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Jim brings to Composite Software more than 20 years of experience in developing products and technology for enterprise computing. Jim joined Composite in 2003 from webMethods where he served as CTO and executive vice president of product development. Prior to joining webMethods, Jim was CEO of Active Software, where he grew the company from a start-up to an industry leader in Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) software. After the merger with webMethods, he spearheaded the integration of the two companies’ product lines to create the industry’s first comprehensive business integration platform. Before that, during a seven year tenure at Sun Microsystems, he led the development of the Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) specification, the industry standard for distributed objects. In previous companies, he achieved several industry firsts by developing networking and distributed computing products. Jim holds an MS in Industrial Engineering and an MS in Computer Science.
David Besemer
Chief Technical Officer
David brings to Composite Software more than twenty years of software development and management experience, all with leading edge technologies and companies. David joined Composite Software as VP of Engineering in 2002, and became the CTO in 2006. Before joining Composite he was a “freelance CTO”, providing software technology intelligence to venture capital firms. Prior to that he was the CTO of eStyle, an e-commerce retailer serving the lifestyle needs of families. Previously, David ran a successful enterprise software consulting practice, headed software product marketing at NeXT Computer, built program trading systems on Wall Street, and researched natural language processing systems at GE’s Corporate R&D center. David holds a BS in computer science from Michigan State University and an MS in computer science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Jon Bode
Chief Financial Officer
Jon brings to Composite Software more than 20 years of finance experience. Prior to joining Composite as CFO in 2011, Jon held executive and senior level finance positions at a number of software companies and high tech manufacturers. Most recently he had the responsibility of CFO at Tidal Software, a software provider for automated data center operations. Jon was crucial in setting a subsidiary structure to support International business expansion while increasing the average sales deal size to 75%. Prior to Tidal Software, Jon held CFO responsibilities at Radiance Technologies, Responsys, Active Software (acquired by webMethods), and Internet Profiles. Jon has completed multiple acquisitions, initial public offerings, and private equity financings. Most notably, he grew Active Software 300% per year. Jon holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a BA in Economics and Business Administration from Calvin College.
Christian Nall
Executive Vice President, Worldwide Field Operations
Christian’s career has spanned enterprise software, hardware, outsourcing, and ASPs at some of the largest and most innovative companies. Before joining Composite, Christian served as Vice President of WW Sales at Proofpoint, a messaging security company, where he built the company’s sales team into a force that drove sales to over $18 million in subscription-based revenue in the first two years. Prior to Proofpoint, Christian served as the VP of Global Sales at Exigen Group, VP of Field Operations at Portera Systems, and VP of Sales and Business Development at Spyglass, Inc. Prior to this, Christian’s experience included Sales and Product Management experience at Hitachi Data Systems and more than ten years in sales management in IBM’s Enterprise Systems Sales Organization. Christian holds a BS degree in Finance and Marketing from the University of California at Berkeley.
Robert Eve
Executive Vice President, Marketing
Bob’s experience includes executive level marketing and business development roles at leading enterprise software companies such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, Mercury Interactive (Kintana) and Right Hemisphere, as well as management roles at Ernst & Young and Intel. Bob is the co-author of Data Virtualization: Going Beyond Traditional Data Integration to Achieve Business Agility. Bob holds a MS degree in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley.
Marc Breissinger
Executive Vice President
For the past eight years as Chief Technology Officer at webMethods and SPADAC, Marc guided internal and key account technology strategy and architecture resulting in a number of new products including webMethod’s award winning Fabric product suite and millions in revenue growth. While at webMethods, Marc also identifed and executed seven acquisitions. Prior to webMethods, Marc was a Senior Manager for six years at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) where he successfully led over a dozen major projects in Automotive, Electronics, Chemical and Retail market clients. Marc started working with IT clients during his four years as a Consultant at ZS Associates. At Composite, Marc guides strategy and architecture projects at major accounts. Marc holds a BA in computer science from Yale University. He also holds an active TS clearance.
Kevin Ott
Sr. Vice President, Product Development
Kevin brings to Composite more than 15 years in developing innovative products to enable real-time information integration for the world’s largest software enterprises. Kevin joined Composite in 2003 and has held several roles in product development including Distinguished Engineer and Chief Architect. In 2011, Kevin became the Senior Vice President of Product Development. Before joining Composite, Kevin served at webMethods where he was Lead Architect of the Broker ESB product and later managed the Broker ESB platform development group. Prior to webMethods, Kevin developed enterprise software products for Sun, Netscape and Hewlett-Packard. Kevin holds a BA in Physics from the University of California, San Diego.
