Job Description
Composite pioneered the data virtualization category, one of the hottest enterprise IT markets today. Composite, as the data virtualization gold standard, continues to grow rapidly to meet this accelerating demand. Composite is adding an “A player” Sales Representative to our sales team.
In this role as a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for the sale of the Composite Software products and services into the Federal government – Civilian Agencies. Duties for this position include, but are not limited to: ability to evangelize and market an emerging and leading-edge technology; identify opportunities and position the Composite solutions to client requirements; responsibility for the development of RFI and RFP submittals; develop business opportunities with Federal Systems Integrators and other alliance and reselling partners as required; develop, enhance, and manage prospect and client interactions to foster relationships at all levels of the agencies assigned; and close business to exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue objectives.
The highly motivated and self-starter will be somebody who works well with not only their sales peers but the overall support organization as a whole, including marketing, pre-sales and professional services. The ability to foster a strong relationship internally will help to ensure full and timely revenue recognition and satisfied clients within the Federal arena, which is our # 1 goal.
Required Skills
- 5-7+ years of successful experience selling enterprise software solutions/middleware technologies into the federal government
- Recent experience selling into Civilian Agencies
- A solid and recent track record of success (most recent 3-5 years exceeding quota) is a must
- Demonstrated success in capturing new business
- Senior level contacts and relationships essential
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
- Must be able to accurately forecast on an on-going basis (Salesforce.com knowledge is helpful)
- Travel required, up to 30%
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing (or other relevant Bachelor’s degree) or equivalent experience
