Federal Sales Engineer
Location: VA
Job Req: 08-03
Reports To: Vice President of World Wide Technical Field Operations
Composite Software is looking for an enthusiastic individual to be the technical representative for Composite Software’s products. The Sales Engineer will work closely with the Federal team. Your specific responsibilities will include the following:
Responsibilities
- Work with the regional field office technically representing Composite Software products.
- Manage, implement, and drive proof of concepts, field trials, and pilots.
- Present and articulate technical concepts and map customer needs to current and future product offerings.
- Work with sales team to develop responses to RFIs and prepare commercial proposals for customers.
- Work with Composite customers and partners to support ongoing sales activities.
- Provide product feedback to Composite Product Marketing and Engineering.
- Work closely with field sales representative to strategize on accounts from both a business and technical perspective.
Qualifications
- 5+ years pre-sales experience.
- University degree in engineering or computer science.
- Hands-on, technical, problem solver.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with data base concepts, architectures, and deployments.
- In-depth understanding of Windows and UNIX environments.
- Development experience working with Java or other OO programming languages.
- Understanding of web services and associated protocols/standards/specifications – SOAP, WSDL, XSLT, XML.
- History of success in large, complex sales situations.
- Highly articulate and clear speaking and writing skills; accomplished public presentation skills.
- TS/SCI Clearance required, CI Polygraph is a plus
- Travel required.
