Job Description
With annual growth greater than 50% each year of 2008 and 2009, large enterprise demand for Composite’s industry leading data virtualization solutions continues to accelerate. To fulfill this demand and continue our fast-paced growth, Composite is adding an “A player” Sales Engineer to the western region sales team.
Responsibilities
- Work with the regional field office technically representing Composite Software products.
- Manage, implement, and drive proof of concepts, field trials, and pilots.
- Present and articulate technical concepts and map customer needs to current and future product offerings.
- Work with sales team to develop responses to RFIs and prepare commercial proposals for customers.
- Work with Composite customers and partners to support ongoing sales activities.
- Provide product feedback to Composite Product Marketing and Engineering.
- Work closely with field sales representative to strategize on accounts from both a business and technical perspective.
Required Skills
- 5+ years pre-sales experience.
- University degree in engineering or computer science.
- Hands-on, technical, problem solver.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with data base concepts, architectures, and deployments
- In-depth understanding of Windows and UNIX environments.
- Development experience working with Java or other OO programming languages.
- Understanding of web services and associated protocols/standards/specifications – SOAP, WSDL, XSLT, XML.
- History of success in large, complex sales situations
- Highly articulate and clear speaking and writing skills; accomplished public presentation skills.
- Travel required
