Green Bay, Wisconsin and San Mateo, Calif. - September 14, 2004 - Composite Software, a leading provider of EII solutions, today announced that the company’s Composite Information Server has been awarded CMP Media LLC Network Computing’s Editor’s Choice Award for Enterprise Information Integration. Network Computing undertook extensive testing in six categories—data integration, data management, interfaces, administration, price and reliability. The Composite Information Server (CIS) outscored IBM, MetaMatrix and the other four contending products in every category.
Network Computing Lab staff undertook rigorous testing in the publication’s business application lab over a two-month period. The publication’s objective was to evaluate how well the EII products integrated data sources, managed the system, and configured client access. Network Computing created a single access point for the publication’s order data, shipping details and inventory details stored in Oracle9i, SQL Server 2000, XML files, and reported using Crystal Reports 9 and Excel 2003. Web Service capability using SOAP was required.
Network Computing gave Composite the highest marks across all categories, specifically citing the Composite Information Server on several fronts:
“Composite’s development organization has worked very hard to bring world class performance and functionality to the EII market,” said Jim Green, Chairman and CEO of Composite Software. “We are pleased to have our efforts recognized and validated by Network Computing, one of the most respected publications in the enterprise market. Network Computing clearly sees the importance of EII and the significant rewards it offers. We are honored to have been named best of breed after their exhaustive evaluation of a broad range of EII solutions.”
